I am Titanium

There is an amazing song called “Titanium” and I am convinced it was written about me…

You see, the truth is….I AM Titanium. I believe in myself more than I have ever believed in anything. I only wish I felt this way sooner.
The road to this new found happiness was not an easy one. To say that it was painful would be a gross understatement but I would do it all over again to get the same result.

I had to experience what I did in order to get to where I am today as I have achieved balance, real happiness, contentment and stability. All things I have never experienced before and I didn’t know I was capable of , until I got here.

I guess that is the mystery of life.

No doubt I have always been “strong” and I have always “survived” but the truth is, I wasn’t learning my lessons. I was repeating the same mistakes over and over and I just wasn’t getting it (yes, the definition of insanity). I was the perpetual victim, the girl with all the drama and the story to tell. How people weren’t sick of me, is beyond comprehension.

Sometimes what you want so badly can actually be the worst thing for you. The Universe tries to warn you….and if you don’t listen….expect a painful lesson. You see the Universe will make shit happen if you don’t listen, please trust this and learn your lesson the first time or even the second but don’t want until the third!

Here is one lesson: Bad things can come in very pretty packages. No one told me this, but I am telling you. Things aren’t always as they seem.

Despite the pain, lack of sleep, delusional thinking and losing everything I had worked so hard for and loved, I thank the Universe for its Divine Intervention. My life has shifted 250% and I have morphed into a calm, balanced, happy being in relatively short time.

Don’t get me wrong, there are moments when I don’t recognize myself and I get a little scared or when I flash back to that old life and wonder who I was and how I was even functioning, it doesn’t seem real to me. The truth is, I wouldn’t go back to that life if the Universe packaged it up and offered it to me again.

No thank you!

I have worked way too hard for this Journey that I am on and I am not willing to give it up for what I know and what is comfortable because I am a little scared of the unknown. The unknown actually excites me.

You see, that person, that girl…is not me and I will never be her again. She served a purpose, but she has no place on this Journey. She was part of a life that no longer exists.

So, for those who think change is not possible I empower you to take the first step to a new and healthy Journey. All you need is a Tribe, faith and to believe in yourself because Life truly is about the choices that you make.

Life does NOT happen to you…you are in control, believe it or not.

“Every day you are born again” — this is the truth.

I can say this because I did the work and I am at the other side and it is SO beautiful over here. You don’t have to stay stuck!

Lyrics
You shout it out
But I can’t hear a word you say
I’m talking loud not saying much
I’m criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down, but I get up
I’m bulletproof nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won’t fall, I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won’t fall
I am titanium, I am titanium, I am titanium, I am titanium
Cut me down
But it’s you who has further to fall
Ghost town, haunted love
Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones
I’m talking loud not saying much
I’m bulletproof nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won’t fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won’t fall
I am titanium, I am titanium
Stone-hard, machine gun
Firing at the ones who run
Stone-hard, thus bulletproof glass
You shoot me down but I won’t fall, I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won’t fall, I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won’t fall, I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won’t fall, I am titanium
I am titanium
